Sarah Bromley is beginning her third season as head coach of the Wilson Girls Lacrosse Program. She is thrilled to be back after two very successful seasons. In her first season, Bromley led the Wilson team to it's first appearance in the state playoffs. Last season, she coached the team to the Oregon State finals, beating a very strong Lakeridge team in the semis but losing to returning State Champion Oregon City in the final game.
Sarah began her lacrosse career on her high school team at the Taft School in Connecticut where she was captain, graduating in 2002. She then was recruited to play defense for Tufts University in Massachusetts for four years. She was a starter for three years and captain her senior year (’08). In 2007, Sarah was placed on an IWLCA DIII all-regional team, and in 2008 was on the IWLCA Academic Honor Roll. Sarah is now a graduate student at Lewis and Clark College.
Melissa juggles her coaching time with parenting her three children, ages 5, 4 and 1. She says she is blessed to be a part of the “amazing” Wilson Lacrosse Program where she has learned so much from Sarah and the players.
She has great expectations for the season and is looking forward to meeting the new players. As for the Varsity team, she says, “State Championship here we come!”
